How to Properly Froth Milk?
Preparation
Use a damp towel to clean the steam nozzle. Milk stains can change the flavor of your coffee and stop the milk from foaming correctly.
Fill the jug with milk. Try to use no more milk than is necessary for your beverage.
Choose your milk based on the type of foam you like. A latte's deep froth will be produced by milk with high-fat content. Lower-fat milk will produce a lighter, airier froth that is ideal for cappuccinos. Try our Lactose-Free products for even greater frothing results.
Set the steam nozzle to on. Turn it off after letting it run till steam appears.
By inserting the steam nozzle and turning on maximum pressure, you may heat the milk. For a brief period of time, aerate the milk to produce tiny bubbles. The steam nozzle should be raised until it just touches the milk. There should be a slight whistling noise.
Reposition the steam nozzle in the milk, then tilt the jug to let the milk flow around it. Keep your hands steady at all times. The milk should be heated until it is hot to the touch. Take caution; warm milk can change the flavor of the coffee.
To create a cup, pour the foam. Milk that has been properly frothed should be glossy and thick.
