Alcohol-Free Vanilla Extract Made at Home
Vanilla extract may be made at home! Vanilla beans and vodka are all you need. But did you know that you may also create vanilla extract at home without alcohol?
jaw lowers to the ground
For a variety of reasons, people choose alcohol-free vanilla extract over its alcoholic version. Regardless of your motivation, you will like this vanilla.
It is simple, affordable, low in carbohydrates, gluten-free, and vegan. But don't worry, it's quite yummy. Store-bought vanilla extract is rather pricey, and nearly typically includes alcohol as well as added sugar or corn syrup. Unlike this homemade alcohol-free vanilla extract, though!
When you use vanilla that contains vodka, you could occasionally taste the alcohol in the final result, especially if you make no-cook meals like ice cream, fudge, icing, dips, and puddings. Make this dish if this has ever happened to you!
There are just three components needed to produce this homemade, alcohol-free vanilla extract. It works well in frostings, ice creams, other no-bake desserts, cakes, other baked foods, and more.
Ingredients
- Eight vanilla bean
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- Filtered Water, 1 cup
INSTRUCTIONS
To fit within the bottle you're using, cut the vanilla beans. Just enough lengthwise slicing of the beans will allow you to drill through one side (you want to expose the tiny vanilla seeds but keep them attached to the bean).
Fill the container entirely with purified water, then add the salt and vanilla beans. Shake the bottle ferociously after covering it with the lid.
Shake the bottle once daily for 4 weeks while keeping it in the refrigerator (I set a daily reminder on my calendar to help me remember). You may shake it less frequently for the following five weeks, like twice a week. After these 9 weeks, the vanilla will be ready to use (but the longer the better)! Before using, shake.
