Air Fryer Frozen Shrimp

Recipe for Frozen Shrimp Air Fryer

Your meal is saved by frozen shrimp for the air fryer! In less than 10 minutes, go from freezer to dish.

Realizing that the shrimp you wanted is still in the freezer as you prepare dinner? You can cook them straight from frozen, so don't worry.

Why would you cook frozen shrimp?

The benefit of purchasing frozen shrimp is that they are frozen on the boat, guaranteeing that they will taste fresh when they get on your dish.

Therefore, purchasing them frozen and cooking them straight from frozen is frequently the freshest method. Keep a bag of frozen shrimp on hand so that you always have the basis for a delicious meal.

My preferred method just requires 15 minutes from beginning to end and gently cooks them in water from frozen (including boiling the water). The modern approach, however, substitutes an air fryer for water.

WHEN TO COOK FROZEN SHRIMP IN AN AIR FRYER

The Air Fryer speeds up the process even further! This technique only needs a short preheating period and cooks tasty shrimp straight from the freezer in only 5 minutes.

If you only need enough shrimp for two people, my air fryer can hold 12 to 16 huge shrimp. You'll need to cook in many batches or use the water approach mentioned above if you're preparing for more people.

The shrimp can beautifully brown a little on the bottom of the air fryer. In contrast to the water approach, you may also add spice. Add some chopped garlic, Parmesan cheese, or breadcrumbs during the last minute of cooking. Very excellent!

HOW TO COOK FROZEN SHRIMP IN AN AIR FRYER

I prefer to use medium- to large-sized, deveined, frozen shrimp. However, it makes no difference to this strategy whether the tails are present or not.

There are 31–40 shrimp per pound based on the 31–40 count of these. Use the count information on the bag to determine the size of shrimp you should buy.

You should first heat your air fryer to 400 degrees. After that, you just remove the shrimp from the freezer, arrange them in a single layer, and cook for 5 minutes. It's really that simple.

WHEN CAN SHRIMP BE COOKED FROM THE FREEZER?

You shouldn't attempt to cook shrimp from frozen if they are clumped together while frozen. If they are not largely individual, it is too difficult to determine the timing.

Try gently tapping the bag of shrimp on the counter a few times if they appear to have clumped together in a bag in your freezer. The shrimp will disintegrate if the ice is not too solid.
