Recipe for Grilled Coho Salmon
Yes, I have occasionally screamed or yelled in my sleep. Although humorous to me, it might be really frightening to others. Nine feet! I used to shout from far inside their bedroom, according to my mother. 9.5 feet! I guess I was playing football, haha. Or, let's discuss the first time Rachel and I shared a room.
Naturally, it would be another occasion when I slept-talked. So humiliating, haha! However, she handled it well and made an effort to continue the discussion.
I had a rather bizarre dream on Saturday night. In my dream, we were traveling on a plane when it crashed in the midst of New York City. I frequently have dreams about airplane crashes, which contributes to my fear of flying.
The dreams simply seem so authentic. Anyway, in my dream on Saturday, the plane took off, but then somehow lost altitude, and we began to tumble, eventually coming to a skidding halt. We all hurried off the plane because no one was wounded and it was still in good condition.
The individuals we were with apparently wanted to stay to get medical help, but I cried "NOOOOO!" and forced us to go since I thought the jet would burst into flames. Yes, I literally screamed "NOOOOO!" out loud, waking Jason awake in the process. According to him, it was a heartbreaking "no." Haha, I do recall waking up, but I immediately fell back asleep, and the dream resumed. It was quite strange.
Summer is coming to an end. Before the summer ended, we simply had to grill a ton of coho salmon with some slammin' salmon rub. The rub's ingredients were mustard, sugar, chili powder, salt, paprika, black pepper, cumin, chipotle powder, and Dutch cocoa powder.
It takes this coho to a whole 'nother level, for real. I believe that the char from the grill intensified the taste of the salmon and rub as well. When you grill salmon, it stays juicy, tastes great, and develops an amazing crust. Along with a side of butter-slathered sweet corn and a fresh green salad, we served fish. We ate so much coho salmon that we were packed to the gills.
A grilled salmon dish like this one may be put together very quickly! For a quick weeknight supper, just grab some of your favorite seafood or fish rub and fire up the grill.
INGREDIENTS
- Any seafood, fish, or salmon rub, 1 tablespoon
- 1: Fresh 5-6 ounce coho salmon (cleaned, pin-bones removed)
- Any seafood, fish, or salmon rub, 2 tablespoons
- 2: fresh 10 to 12-ounce coho salmon (cleaned, pin-bones removed)
- Any seafood, fish, or salmon rub, 4 tablespoons
- 4: Fresh coho fish weighing 20 to 24 ounces (cleaned, pin-bones removed)
INSTRUCTIONS
Turn the grill's heat to high.
Mix in seafood rub the salmon's pink flesh side all over and give it a gentle massage.
The two salmon slices should be placed on the grill with the seasoned side down. Allow it to cook for five minutes without moving.
After 5 minutes, turn the salmon over and cook for a further 3–5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through but not overdone and tough. Make sure it doesn't overcook by keeping an eye on it.
If you want, serve the salmon with a side salad and a favorite vegetable.
