Making vanilla bean paste yourself eliminates the need to purchase it. The ideal ingredient to add to the cupboard is homemade vanilla bean paste.

I created this since I've never tasted vanilla bean paste and I couldn't bring myself to rationalize purchasing a jar.

I would thus weep and refuse to create a recipe anytime I saw vanilla bean paste on it. I believed there was a club for vanilla bean recipes, but I wasn't admitted. Despite the fact that I should have been preparing these recipes, I wasn't. My illogical mind overlooked the fact that purchasing a jar of the ingredients is the easiest way to get started with these dishes.

Every time I find a recipe for something that might be made at home more quickly than at the store, I get really thrilled. You can only imagine how happy I was to discover this vanilla bean paste recipe. Considering that I have every component in my home. the entire trifecta!

There isn't a recipe out there that is simpler to prepare than this one. All you need is maple syrup, vanilla essence, and vanilla beans (or agave sector). There you go!

There will definitely be more dishes utilizing this paste in the future. Possibly (but most likely) in the shape of cookies!

Ingredients
  • 6-vanilla-bean total
  • Pure vanilla extract, 4 teaspoons
  • 50 ml of maple syrup (or agave nectar)
Instructions

In a food processor, combine all the ingredients and process until thoroughly combined.

Pour the vanilla mixture into a dish that has been placed over a fine mesh sieve. Get as much liquid out of the vanilla bean pulp by pressing it. Put the vanilla bean paste in a container that can be closed.
