Making Vanilla Sugar
My current passion is vanilla sugar. I use it whenever I need to utilize sugar because it gives the food such a lovely depth. I use it for my morning cereals and oats as well as for milkshakes, desserts, and, of course, coffee. Here is a recipe for it.
Although expensive and difficult to get locally, vanilla sugar is, fortunately, one of the simplest things that you can produce yourself. One of the most delicious items you can keep in your kitchen is this.
It is a flexible addition to food and tea due to the sweetness of the sugar and the flavor of the vanilla. Even baked dishes like French Madeleines and Gingerbread Granola can be used in place of simple sugar.
Additionally, it is the ideal present. Simply prepare a large quantity, then put it into little, adorable bottles when finished. You can quickly and easily create something incredibly adorable and affordable by tying it up with some ribbons or threads.
The nicest thing about vanilla sugar is how simple it is to create. A few vanilla beans and normal granulated sugar are all that is required. This is an excellent method to use leftover vanilla beans as well as new ones. A video on how to produce vanilla sugar is also available here.
Ingredients
Five vanilla bean
Sugar, 1 kilogram
Instructions
Put the sugar in a container.
Use a sharp knife to slit the vanilla beans.
Place them into the jar, then firmly screw on the top.
The jar can be kept for up to three weeks in a cool, dry area.
Each week, keep shaking the container.
The vanilla sugar is prepared for usage.
You may store the jar for a longer period of time before using the sugar to produce more potent flavors.
If you want to make more, you may add additional sugar and beans.
