Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe: Creamy and Delicious
In order to find out which taste individuals preferred, we planned to hand out samples of both vanilla ice cream and vanilla ice cream that had red food coloring added to make it appear like strawberry ice cream.
Over a hundred people sampled both ice creams at our ice cream stand outside a movie theater after it was set up (we served them in little sample cups with tiny spoons). People were raving about how delicious the vanilla or strawberry ice cream was, calling it the best they had ever had.
I was being begged for the recipe. We had to shut down while she was here because she consumed so many samples. As soon as word spread, theatergoers began leaving to try our ice cream (staff too).
This is excellent ice cream, as proven by the opinions of more than 100 individuals! Oh, and the results: The majority of the persons who realized it was the same flavor were teens, and only approximately 14% of those who did so. The others were unable to tell, and although they agreed that both flavors were excellent, they preferred one flavor. Yes, my son's project received an A grade.
INGREDIENTS
- Four egg yolks
- Sugar, half a cup
- 1 glass of whole milk
- Heavy cream, 1 cup
- Vanilla extract, two tablespoons
DIRECTIONS
Combine the egg yolks and sugar in a bowl. until thick, stir (once it's mixed well it will be thick).
Scald the milk in a pot (bring slowly to a boil).
While continuously stirring, slowly add the heated milk to the egg yolk mixture.
I use a bigger pot for this step, and I pour the mixture back into the original one. I gradually boil the mixture while stirring until the custard thickens. Keep in mind that if you boil it, it will curdle. Remove the pot from the heat as soon as you notice a film forming on the back of the spoon. Cool down.
After the liquid has cooled, whisk in the heavy cream and vanilla extract.
Take the frozen bowl out of the ice cream maker and place it inside. Insert the arm. Put on the top. Switch on the ice cream maker. Fill the ice cream machine with the mixture. Ice cream will be ready for you in 25 minutes.
