PERFECT BRAZILIAN BUTTERY RICE

 PERFECT RECIPE FOR BRAZILIAN BUTTERY RICE


"While this method of making white rice is a little different, it will always turn out perfectly."

INGREDIENTS
  • 10 grams of butter
  • White rice, 1 cup (preferably long grain)
  • salt
DIRECTIONS

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a saucepan.

Add 1 cup of white rice and stir it with a spatula nearly continuously until some of the rice grains start to turn brown (watch carefully, it can burn easily at this point).

Add 2 cups of boiling water quickly (this will create a giant puff of hot steam).

If using, add salt.

Cook over high heat until it begins to boil.

Once the water has been completely absorbed, cover the pot, lower the heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.

Turn off the heat and wait five minutes with the pot covered.

Dispense and savor!
